carolina negroni

Carolina Negroni studied Art Education and Communication at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, where she began to cultivate her interest in photography. She later completed a Master’s degree in Visual Cultures and Artistic Practices at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan (2017)

Her work focuses primarily on analog photography, through ongoing research with 35mm and 120mm film. Drawn to the notion of imperfection as a form of absolute perfection, she explores this concept across different bodies of work and visual experiments.

She debuted with EYE, her first solo exhibition in March 2024 at BoA Spazio Arte, followed by LIFE, presented in the Crypt of San Zama. Through objects and everyday gestures, Negroni reflects on the cycle of life, building intimate yet collective narratives that question and reinterpret universal themes.

Upcoming exhibition

What Re-mains. Unfixed is an analog photographic project exploring anonymity, identity, and the experience of passing through a place. The people portrayed are deliberately photographed from behind, leaving their identities unknown and allowing the viewer to identify with them. The recurring presence of the sea becomes a symbol of passage, movement, arrival, and departure. The project reflects on what remains when neither identity nor belonging is ever completely fixed.
